Scope of work:
Concept, Storytelling and Packaging Design.

cLIENT:
Terraduque.

Story:
Story tells that Filippo María Visconti, Duke of Milan, commissioned the first known Tarot deck of cards to be made back in the mid-15th century. The reason for the commission was to celebrate the conquest of power in Milano by Francesco Sforza and his wife Bianca Maria Visconti, daughter of Duke Filippo Maria.

Terraduque stands for the conquest of the land by the duchy, highlighting a political figure very close to the Kings. Its influence has conditioned the way in which some of the most important events in our history have unfolded, frequently celebrated with the consumption of wine. Because in the end, wine always endures. Wine is king.

Our work:
The brief demanded to be faithful to the traditional values of the winery and the naming certainly invites to be so because of its powerful reference to antique codes such as dukes and land.

During conceptualizing work, we discovered the universe of tarot cards, what led us to investigate and experiment with an immersive and incredible dark world. Therefore, we decided to preserve the traditional values of this Ribera del Duero and innovate in the format. The card, designed and illustrated by us, can be extracted from the bottle, revealing the amazing starting point of tarot cards.
